The First Peoples’ Cultural Council’s (FPCC) Heritage program is now accepting applications for projects focused on revitalizing First Nations cultural heritage, and arts and culture infrastructure in B.C.
The FPCC Heritage Program supports the revitalization and safeguarding of B.C. First Nations cultural heritage through funding, resources, programs and by providing opportunities that bring people together to share knowledge. FPCC is now accepting applications for cultural heritage funding in two program areas.

Current Heritage Funding Opportunities:
Heritage Stewardship Program (HSP)
The FPCC Heritage Stewardship Program (HSP) provides funding to B.C. First Nations and First Nations-led organizations in B.C. to address climate change, safeguard cultural sites, digitize cultural resources and record oral histories. This program supports B.C. First Nations to be the stewards of, and experts on, their own heritage.
Apply for up to $75,000 for projects that reflect up to four key priority areas that support Indigenous heritage stewardship: Climate Change, Digitization and Archiving, Oral History and Protocols, Sense of Place.
Applications will be accepted for HSP until February 18, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. (PT).
Braided Infrastructure Program (BIP)
The Braided Infrastructure Program funds projects that implement a broad range of projects to conserve, repair or develop B.C. First Nations’ cultural infrastructure.
BIP provides up to $70,000 in funding to support B.C. First Nations infrastructure projects to develop spaces that braid together arts, culture, heritage and language revitalization, knowledge sharing and cultural activities.
Applications will be accepted for BIP until February 24, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. (PT).

Eligibility
FPCC respects the rights of all First Nations to deliver services to their communities. To align with this, FPCC funding guidelines require that at least 65% of an organization’s board members/directors be individuals who are members of or have ancestral connections to a B.C. First Nation.

Prior to starting your application, please visit each program page for more information, FPCC Heritage Program applications will be submitted on the FPCC Grant Portal.
