Update: The application period for this grant is now closed.
FPCC’s Braided Knowledge Grant provides up to $25,000 in heritage funding for projects that weave together B.C. First Nations arts, languages and heritage.
Braided Knowledge: Weaving B.C. First Nations’ Knowledge Through Generations provides funding for work where arts, languages, cultures and heritage are connected and aligned with Indigenous ways of knowing and being.
“This funding offers more than financial support; it is a catalyst for fostering deep connections within the community and for revitalizing traditions.” – Gabriel Serdult, Executive Director of Rediscovery T’aalan Stl’ang Society, on FPCC’s support of a Haida Youth Program through the Braided Knowledge Grant.

Note: All Braided Knowledge-funded projects must have a mentorship component. Mentorship ensures that cultural knowledge and practical skills are passed from expert knowledge holders, fluent speakers and artists.
