Are you a B.C First Nations storyteller, artist, or arts organization sharing about the perseverance of stories, knowledge and arts practices in your community?
The First Peoples’ Cultural Council’s (FPCC) Arts Vitality Grant is a one-time opportunity to receive up to $10,000. This funding is for creative projects that contribute to research on the status and strength of B.C. First Nations storytelling and arts knowledge and practices.

FPCC’s Arts Program supports the creation, development, production and promotion of all forms of creative expression. This grant is part of a larger research study to document B.C. First Nations arts vitality and to better understand community needs to preserve and revitalize B.C. First Nations arts knowledge and practices. This includes traditional knowledge and practices as well as arts that have adapted to contemporary contexts.
Projects in this funding stream may engage all creative expressions, including but not limited to carving, ancestral or contemporary song composition, mural, paintings and other forms of storytelling.
Applications for the Arts Vitality grant will be accepted until May 28, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. PT.
Note: We recommend starting your application three weeks before the deadline to give you time to gather the required materials and contact FPCC staff if you need support.
