The First Peoples’ Cultural Council is so grateful to be celebrating 30 years of support for the revitalization of First Nations Languages, Arts and Cultural Heritage in B.C. with this 30th Anniversary Celebration Video. The work being done by communities, individuals and organizations across this province is truly incredible. The FPCC Board and staff are honoured to be able to support and witness the successes from years of efforts restoring languages, passing knowledge to the next generation and the growth that comes with new skills, partnerships and technology development.
FPCC is excited to share this celebration with you through this video remembering where we have been, who has supported us along the way and the accomplishments we share with Indigenous people and communities across B.C.
Everything that has been accomplished is the result of the incredible work that is done by those running the programs we support: the Elders, Knowledge Keepers, teachers, administrators and more. Our programs and resources are developed in consultation with the FPCC Advisory Committee and Indigenous experts and we listen to their feedback to learn where we can improve and respond to changing needs. We are so grateful for the input we receive from our community partners, First Nations leadership and grant participants. We also thank our funders who invest in us to carry out this work.
