The Youth Empowered Speakers (YES) program is accepting applications from First Nations students ages 18-30 years old in B.C. who are interested in becoming Language Immersion Teachers! This program provides funding of up to $36,400 per year for post-secondary tuition, living expenses and mentor-apprentice language learning! It also includes paid work internships to support work experience.
Eligibility
The YES program is for B.C. First Nations youth ages 18-30 years old living on or off-reserve. Participants must provide proof of acceptance to a Bachelor of Education program at a post-secondary institution by March 31, 2021. Timeline
The deadline to apply is February 8, 2021. The program runs from April 2021 until April 2022.
