December 17, 2020

This report identifies what needs to happen for Indigenous people to become equal partners in the acknowledgment and revitalization of Indigenous cultural heritage in B.C. This report is the first in a multi-year effort to address the challenges of decolonization.

The paper also presents a set of ten recommendations to advance the processes and legislation affecting Indigenous cultural heritage and how to move forward working together in a good way.
