Indigenous Language Grants

Indigenous Language Grants

Indigenous Language Grants (formerly ALI) are now available through the Pathways to Language Vitality Program.

Indigenous Language Grants provide funding for a variety of projects to help revitalize language including immersion programs, creating recordings, resources, language camps and more!

Funding from this grant can also be used to develop programs to train and certify language teachers and resource people in the community (excluding accredited courses). The funding is provided by the Department of Canadian Heritage as a result of the Government of Canada’s Indigenous Languages Act.

First Nations and Indigenous organizations in B.C. are eligible to apply.
